I recently had the pleasure of volunteering with festival angels at Leeds Festival. As it was near impossible to sleep at night because there was so much fun to be had raving and socialising I decided to put up my hammock in the beautiful grounds of Bramham park and enjoy a much needed daytime nap. As one would expect when hammocking at a music festival my nap was not uneventful. I was awoken twice, once by a guy urinating on a nearby tree and once by a couple of lads asking if I knew anywhere to purchase cannabis. A couple of security guards also asked me while I was packing up if I was actually camping in my hammock – maybe next year. Top tip when hammocking at festivals – beware of human faeces at the foot of trees. This is especially important when wearing flip-flops, but that’s a story for another day.
I loved every minute of the festival and had loads of crazy times making some incredible friends. Hammock with me at Leeds 2016?
